The Batman: 10 Perfect Casting Choices For Robin

7. Josh Hutcherson

Josh Hutcherson is used to playing the supporting role in a major franchise, featuring alongside Jennifer Lawrence in The Hunger Games series. He does well in that, even if the script grows more restrictive for him at the saga goes on, with more and more focus on Lawrence’s marketable Katniss Everdeen.

Robin will obviously be playing second fiddle to Batman too, and that’s before you bring in any of the bad guys. Whoever gets the part will need to bounce off the lead well and shine with the chances he gets; that’s something Hutcherson certainly knows how to do.

Even taking The Hunger Games out of the equation, he’s ratcheted up an impressive filmography for a 26 year old.

He’s had lead roles in animated adventure Epic and alongside Dwayne Johnson in Journey 2, as well as supporting parts in things like The Kids Are Alright and The Disaster Artist.

Interestingly, post Hunger Games he’s taken much riskier roles, most notably in Hulu series Future Man, and is garnering rave reviews for his passionate, enthusiastic performance.

The Hunger Games hype may have died down but there’s still plenty of reasons for Matt Reeves to look his way.
