The Batman: 10 Things Ben Affleck Must Get Right

Ham fisted is probably the best way to describe the cameos and Easter eggs woven throughout this years DCEU outings. From out of the left field dream sequences within dream sequences to characters shoehorned in to the narrative, BvS and Suicide Squad both fell into the Iron Man 2 trap – attempting to build the wider universe to the detriment of the actual film they were pasted in to.

By the time The Batman debuts we will have seen both Wonder Woman and Justice League on the silver screen. It’s to be expected that these releases will provide fertile ground for future movies to plough and hopefully Affleck will show enough nuance to navigate these tricky waters. We certainly want to see how Bruce Wayne’s actions impact the larger cinematic universe as long as it’s done tastefully this time around.
