3. The Signal

One the best additions to the Batman comics in recent years, The Signal, also known as Duke Thomas, is a creation of Scott Snyder and Greg Capullo, first appearing in the Zero Year comic book event of 2013.

He later went on to become the leader of the Robins (from the We Are Robin comic book series) after Batman saved him from the Joker (in the Batman Endgame storyline) and he is the now The Signal (after the Dark Knights Metal event), the first black member of the Bat-Family.

Introducing this character to the much wider movie audience would give great exposure to him and bring some of that now lucrative diversity to the film, even in the small capacity in which he may appear.
