The Batman: 14 Huge Reveals From The Batsuit & Batmobile Images

9. The Hint Of A New Weapon (And Owls)

One of the biggest talking points that came out of the set leaks - well, two, to be a little more precise - was the gauntlet-style arm adornments that are very much a new part of Batman's look this time.

We haven't yet had a real look at the details, but they appear to be the same on the stunt suit as they are on Matt Reeves' images, so it's not like they were a stand in for some CGI detail. So the question is what they actually are.

The most likely answer is that Reeves' design team have drawn on the Court Of Owls for inspiration and specifically the arm-mounted weaponry of anti-hero Talon and his former fellow Court Of Owls assassins.

Could this be a hint at Bruce's formative training? Could we be about to see him trained by another organisation that goes on to become his enemy as in Batman Begins? Or are the blades on his arms actually cross-bow bolts as a nod to the weapon he carried in Year Zero?
