The Batman: 14 Huge Reveals From The Batsuit & Batmobile Images
10. His Suit Still Bears Some Home-Made Touches
Though this is quite far removed from the Year Zero suit - which looks more like a Mad Max Batman than anything we've seen on screen so far - don't be fooled into thinking that this suit is the refined, military suit of the Nolan movies. This is definitely still a home-made suit.
Look at how the breastplate has shoulder straps, how much the shoulder pads resemble separate pieces repurposed from hockey or American football or some other sport. How there are visible rivets and pop buttons holding pieces together. This isn't a perfect one-piece suit crafted with Bruce Wayne's body in mind, it isn't an Iron Man suit that fits him like a glove either.
Look at the Reeves images - specifically the one showing the rear of the Batmobile and you can see the Batsuit appears to just be heavy fabric trousers, which barely fit properly because of the padding. There's less of the angular perfection of Nolan's suit down to the last degree: this is a suit crafted out of necessity and for purpose with things at hand. It may look impressive, but it's definitely a fledgling hero's costume.
