The Batman: Every Character Confirmed So Far (And 5 Rumoured Ones)

Another lesser known character that may be getting some screen time in The Batman is the Alice in Wonderland obsessed Mad Hatter. The villain, much like Firefly, has never had much opportunity in terms of live action appearances, though he has appeared in Gotham, and had bigger roles in the Arkham gaming series.

Given the background and typical appearance of the character, Jervis Tetch may be difficult to bring into the dark, gritty Gotham that Reeves has planned. However, the same could have been said about the Penguin, yet all signs so far point to Colin Farrell knocking it out of the park.

Though some on the internet have reported the studio to be looking for a male between 40 and 50 for the role, others have gone so far as to say Warner Bros have their eyes on Toby Jones. The MCU man has a history of playing villains, from Arnim Zola to Culverton Smith, and could easily bring one of DC's creepiest rogues to life.

As perfect as this casting would be, unfortunately these reports remain unconfirmed and there is no telling how reliable the sources are at this point.
