Along with Peter Sarsgaard's character reveal, Warner Bros' cast list also confirmed the role Jayme Lawson will be playing. The Batman is currently scheduled to be just Jayme Lawson's second acting credit, so naturally there was a lot of buzz and intrigue about which character Matt Reeves was trusting the inexperienced actress to play.
The answer is Bella Reál, a character created for the movie that will be running for Mayor of Gotham. With the District Attorney, Jim Gordon's potential rise through the police ranks, and a mayoral race, this seemingly confirms we will get a deep look into the political side of the city, much like we did through the Dark Knight trilogy.
While this is a confirmation of Lawson's character, as with the Gil Colson news, fans aren't convinced. Against the other big names that have been confirmed, Reál and Colson really stick out, with some fans believing Reeves is hiding something big about Bella's true identity...
