The Batman Trailer Breakdown: 20 Things You Must See

18. The Clown Gang's Shocking Defeat

The Batman Robert Pattinson bulletproof Batsuit
Warner Bros. Pictures

As we see throughout this trailer, Batman's bulletproof stat is fully maxed-out.

This does raise the question though... why don't these thugs shoot him in the Bat-head? Obviously that armoured suit is gonna be able to tank a few rounds. Aim for his exposed face goddamnit!

Anyway, his suit seems much more heavy-duty than those worn by previous cinematic Batmen. Christian Bale's Batman was even shot in the stomach by Harvey Dent, but you get the sense that Pattinson's Batman would just brush that off.

We also get to see Batman use an electric charge to dispatch a goon, which brings back fond memories of blasting prisoners off walkways with the REC gadget in the Arkham games. Bale's Batsuit also had electrical capabilities, although those were used to send a charge through his cape fabric.

As for who this gang is working for... well, we don't know yet.

They could just be random dudes in makeup (hardly a stretch for Gotham City), but they could also be Penguin thugs - hence the black-and-white face paint - or even some sort of Joker fanboy posse.

In 2022, he took charge of WhoCulture and has grown it into the biggest Doctor Who channel on YouTube, and one of the biggest Doctor Who communities on the web full-stop. He has been writing and video editing since his early teens, and first got a taste for content creation after making his own Doctor Who trailers, off the back of a burning obsession with the Matt Smith era of the show.
