The Best Moment Of Every James Bond Film - Ranked

9. For Your Eyes Only: Mountain Climb

Daniel Craig Casino Royale
MGM/UA

For Your Eyes Only is a very good Bond film that is full of memorable moments, such as the boat set-piece, the ski chase and Bond and Melina's surprisingly well-written conversations, but it saves the best for last.

Bond's climb up the mountainside to main villain Aristotle Kristatos' (Julian Glover) lair is absolutely nerve-shredding stuff that makes for a painfully tense viewing. Bond nearly dies on several occasions and he barely manages to escape with his life; a henchman nearly succeeds in breaking Bond's climbing line.

For those of you who are scared of heights, this might be far too much to take. For everyone else though, it'll be absolutely fantastic viewing. The way in which Bond uses his shoelaces for a Prusik Knot, which he then uses to climb back up the rope after he's left dangling thanks to the henchman, is a particularly neat touch as well.
