The Best Part Of The 10 Worst MCU Movies

Tony Stark could make anything worth watching.

Typically, Marvel Studios has been synonymous with producing one massive blockbuster after the next. 29 movies to its name across 14 years, and only a small handful of those releases have actually been poorly received.

In recent years, since the end of Phase Three, this number has seemingly grown a lot quicker than during the Infinity Saga, as it seems the franchise is currently stuck in arguably its roughest patch yet. However, any movie franchise as big as the MCU would fail to stay perfect the entire time.

That being said, even within those movies in the MCU that have been less than average, underwhelming, or down-right bad, there has at least been some redeeming factor or another. There has been something that fans could grab hold of and take with them as at least some form of satisfaction.

This may have come in the form of a particular character, a single scene that stood above the rest, or even the sheer beauty of a movie. Whatever it was, even when it has been at its worst, the MCU has proven just how good it can be, and that there is something good in everything.

10. Proving Himself Worthy - Thor

By no means is Thor a bad movie. There aren’t ten bad movies in the MCU, but the overall standard is so high that a decent if unspectacular one can fall into the realms of the bottom ten. There was still a lot to like about the God of Thunder’s debut.

The performances of Chris Hemsworth, Tom Hiddleston, and Anthony Hopkins are all fantastic, and the Shakespearian feel to the whole thing is something that hasn’t really been captured in the franchise since. However, nothing beats a good old redemption story.

When Thor was first introduced to the MCU masses, he was a naïve and volatile youth, that courted war and boasted an ego to match even that of Tony Stark. It was no easy feat, but he was soon put in his place by Odin.

He became unworthy, unable to lift Mjolnir or return to Asgard. When the character was stripped back like this, it allowed for him a huge amount of development that put him on the path to becoming the world-saving Avenger he ultimately became. Standing up to Loki’s Destroyer without armour nor weapon was a gutsy move, and one that ultimately proved that he was in fact worthy of his mighty hammer, and the title of a hero.
