The Best Part Of The 10 Worst MCU Movies

9. The Avengers Themselves - Avengers: Age Of Ultron

As a sequel to the groundbreaking Avengers from three years earlier, Age of Ultron fell somewhat flat. There was nothing particularly new or exciting about it, and nothing to truly make it stand out or break ahead of the other lower-ranked MCU movies.

Having said that however, this was still an Avengers movie, and almost by default was entertaining. Whereas it took until the third act of The Avengers for Earth’s Mightiest Heroes to actually act like a team, this was a dynamic that was present from the very first scene of the sequel.

The six heroes fought together, there was no wait to see Banner change into the Hulk, and there had clearly been a lot more development in their relationships with each other. Some of these weren’t so great, with Natasha and Bruce’s romance missing the mark completely, but largely this was a positive step for the team.

It all culminated with a larger roster than before, now boasting Wanda, Pietro, Vision, and even Rhodey at the end, fighting off hoards of Ultron bots. This may have been a relatively standard CGI fest of the heroes fighting off cannon fodder, but it was done well. No one could say that they weren’t entertained by the Battle of Sokovia.
