As should be expected from anything with J.J. Abrams' name attached, there are a bunch of Easter eggs in The Cloverfield Paradox, the first of which occurs before the movie has even properly started.

During the studio signatures, a number of radio voices can be heard talking about Earth's energy crisis. One of the voices belongs to none other than Abrams' pal Simon Pegg, who of course has appeared in Mission: Impossible III, the first two Star Trek reboot movies and Star Wars: The Force Awakens under Abrams' direction.

Elsewhere, another of Abrams' old pals, Greg Grunberg, best known for playing Matt Parkman on the hit superhero series Heroes, has a voice cameo as Joe, a colleague of Hamilton's (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) who speaks to her husband Michael (Roger Davies) on the phone several times throughout the film.

You'll kick yourself for missing Pegg in particular, especially as his voice is so obvious and distinctive in retrospect.
