1. The Exorcist

When Father Gordon arrives at the Glatzel home near the beginning of the film he is shown staring at the house as if he can sense something terrible. Cut to the next shot and we are rewarded with a great call back to the original Exorcist film.

Father Gordon is shown standing in front of the home holding a suitcase in one hand and wearing a hat, he is barely lit by a nearby streetlight as the house is surrounded by fog and darkness.

This almost identically mirrors the scene where Father Merrin arrives at the MacNeil household in The Exorcist. From the way both priests are dressed to the dim lighting and fog it is almost impossible not to notice the similarity.

A true homage to one of the most iconic shots in all of horror.
