1. The Role Of Villain
This is what happens when an unstoppable force meets an immovable object. You truly are incorruptible, aren't you? You won't kill me out of some misplaced sense of self-righteousness. And I won't kill you because you're just too much fun. I think you and I are destined to do this forever... The Joker The Jokers greatest understanding is that of the role of a villain. He is there for the purpose of a foil for the Dark Knight. For the greatest heroes, there must be the greatest villains. For all his madness, Joker understands Batmans motivations. And this understanding makes the Joker immortal. He knows he will eventually get to do anything he wants. Hell break out of jail, go on a killing spree, and will pay for it by getting beaten to a bloody pulp. Wait a few months, heal, and then hell be out there again. For there would be no Batman without his faithful Joker to poke and prod and produce such wonderful carnage.
