4. Where is Robin?
Batman and Robin. They go together likewell, like Batman and Robin. Again I return back to the fact that Nolan has made Batman his own. Im under no illusions that this is what makes his take fantastic. Its our Batman but seen through Nolans unique lens. But if theres one major incongruence between the Nolan world and the main canon Batman comic book world, for me its the absence of Robin. Now you may have a bad Robin taste in your mouth after Schumacher shot him down your throat in his abysmal Batman and Robin movie/extended Mastercard commercial and maybe he is a little too comic-book for Nolan's world. But hes such a huge part of the mythology that Ive been expecting Nolan to work him in there somehow. Wed be psyched if he showed up in some form in TDKR, even if it was just in a more peripheral role (a la Victor Szasz in Batman Begins). I guess well know soon enough.
