Yes, that controversial ending to
Dark Knight Rises. While some of the moviegoing audience found it a sweet conclusion to Bruce Wayne's troubled hero, a lot of them thought it was either illogical, ill-conceived and generally a tacked-on, saccharine addition to what could have been a brave, dark and thematically appropriate ending to the franchise. So what does this have to do with bringing about a Catwoman movie? Simply, it could help resolve that ending by actually addressing it - is this world real or something that Alfred has created to give Bruce a happy ending? If it turns out that Bruce had indeed died, it opens up the possibilities for Selina Kyle to have her own adventures and stories outside of being the love interest of Batman.
