2. Anne Hathaway Was Purrrrfect
As a big Anne Hathaway fan (the woman is, aside from being a great and adaptable actress, an awesome human being), I personally would relish the idea of another chance to see her put on the catsuit and claws. Not just that, but I think that due to
Dark Knight Rises having to cover so many characters in such little time, there wasn't a huge amount of screentime given to Selina Kyle's character and fledging relationship with Bruce Wayne. Hathaway certainly brought a slinky gravitas to the role and never more than here perhaps, has her talent for shifting seamlessly from role to role been more evident. In the bar scene where SWAT teams storm in to rescue the 'kidnapped' congressman, Selina switches effortlessly from kickass heroine to frightened kidnap victim to escape artist. Quite frankly, I'd love to see Hathaway be given the leverage and scope of a full film to expand Selina's character and skills, as well as landing some impressive action sequences and emotional beats which Hathaway has shown herself to be equally adept at. In this new age of superhero movies with brains and hearts, we need the best - and a Hathaway-helmed Catwoman film would be just the ticket.
