The Dark Knight Rises: 5 Reasons We Love Anne Hathaway's Catwoman
Having trouble understanding why you loved Anne Hathaway's Catwoman? This article breaks it down.
I admit it. When I first heard Anne Hathaway was going to be Catwoman, I almost threw my cat out the window - if I had one. It wasn't that I didn't like Hathaway, because I did, it was because I couldn't see her in a Christopher Nolan film: gritty and dark. After all, we were first introduced to her in The Princess Diaries as a dorky princess. Now I obviously didn't know Nolan's plans for Catwoman or how her character was going to be interpreted, but needless to say, I wasn't expecting much. Until I watched the movie. Damn was I wrong and damn was everyone else wrong. This princess took off her tiara and smashed it to pieces then threw the left over shrapnel at all the haters, all of them! Catwoman was one of the stand out characters, but even after watching the film, I wasn't sure why. She wasn't particularly important to the storyline and didn't cause any "Oh snap!" moments. She was kind of just there.....to wreck some hate. In all seriousness, this is my attempt to break down Selina Kyle. I hope you enjoy.
