The Dark Knight Rises: 9 Things Nolan Should Have Done

7. Considered a More Flexible Bat-Suit

I€™ve been very vocal in my criticism of the Batsuit in Nolan€™s franchise, but then I€™ve also been vocal in my criticism of Burton€™s Batsuit too, and Schumachers. For me, it€™s never been fully pulled off on film. The problem for me is that these movies seem to see Batman as a juggernaut; a guy who bulldozes down his target with a powerful thrust of a thick rubber boot. But that€™s not how I€™ve seen him presented €“ in reality, Bats relies as much on his ability to dodge a punch than to throw one. I know everyone seems to love Nolan€™s Batman and the way he does battle and that€™s fair enough, but can you imagine what it€™d be like if Christan Bale was somehow able to move as freely as if he were wearing sweatpants and a t-shirt, but still look like Batman? There€™d have been so much more depth to the fight choreography €“ as it is, Nolan invariably limited himself with his choice to go with heavy, armour-like Batsuit.
