THE DARK KNIGHT RISES Photo: Tom Hardy Recreates Iconic Bane Moment

This is really cool. I don't know how old this image is but some Batman fan has just dropped this still in my inbox of Tom Hardy in full The Dark Knight Rises costume gear re-creating the iconic moment from Batman lore of Bane breaking the Caped Crusader's back. This was apparently a brief light-hearted moment between filming as a crew member asked Hardy if they could re-create the shot and take a photograph as a once in a lifetime souvenir. Obviously though with the photo hitting the net it does make us all wonder and perhaps this image further teases us for wanting to see the exact Bane backbreaking moment from the story Knightfall in the film itself next summer. Surely that has to be the plan? You don't make a Batman movie with Bane as the villain without including his most well known moment, perhaps the moment that truly made him as a legendary villain. In some ways it would be like including The Joker in a movie and not having him kill someone. It just wouldn't be right. The Dark Knight Rises opens July 20th, 2012.... though my guess is we will see the backbreaking moment as early as a few weeks time with the prologue release.
