The Dark Knight Rises Script "Lost" by Gary Oldman

Gary Oldman has described how he was left in a "panic" after fearing he had lost the script for The Dark Knight Rises. Speaking to the BBC, Oldman said "I was in the a panic for 20 minutes. I thought, 'where the hell have I put it?'" Historically, the scripts for all of Christopher Nolan's Batman movies have been tightly guarded secrets. The Dark Knight Rises is no exception, with few details regards the upcoming summer blockbuster surfacing.
"I'd gone out for dinner, and I had put it in the room between the mattress and the bed, because I couldn't scrunch it into the safe."
Oldman, who players Commision Gordon in the Batman franchise, told reporters how the script had his name on it and that "they would have killed me". The 53-year-old actor was speaking ahead of the Empire film awards, where he picked up the best actor award for his part in Tinker Tailer Soldier Spy. He went on to explain how the scripts are so secretive, the ending is left out and characters names can even change. The Dark Knight Rises will be released in both the UK and US on July 20th, 2012.
