The Dark Tower: 15 Easter Eggs You Probably Missed

Everyone's favourite prison breakout movie The Shawshank Redemption gets a hat-tip in The Dark Tower through the inclusion of a certain vintage poster.

There's a scene where Roland is rifling through a guns and ammunition store and he comes face to face with the famous Rita Hayworth poster that played a key role in Andy Dufresne’s escape.

In King's short story Rita Hayworth and Shawshank Redemption, it was actually a picture of singer Linda Ronstadt that concealed Andy's tunnel, although Ms Hayworth is the one who inspired his bid for freedom.

How he managed to reattach it from the inside is a question that hovers over both the book and the film, though.
