It's nothing special. But the Dark Tower series is truly epic. As in: encompassing not just one world, but all worlds. As in: spanning not just one century, but all centuries. It is perhaps one of the most epic story ever told. There are eight novels in the Dark Tower series (including the 2012 release of The Wind Through the Keyhole--Dark Tower Book 4.5, as King calls it), covering thousands upon thousands of pages. How do you create a film (or even a series of films) that can tell the whole story? You can't.
