The Expendables 3 - 13 Easter Eggs & References You Need To Know

4. Robert Davi Cameo

Mid-way through EX3, Stonebanks heads to a meeting while being tailed by the Expendables. However, the party he's meeting turns up early, and is revealed to be Goran Vata, the head of the Albanian Mafia, who appears to be purchasing a weapon from Stonebanks, and further inquires about the possibility of purchasing nuclear weapons from him, though Stonebanks only says he'll think about it. Before they can speak anymore, the Expendables spring into action, and Vata runs into the night as the team pursue a fleeing Stonebanks. But woah, wait a minute, don't we recognise that Albanian dude? Of course, that's Robert Davi, best known for playing the villainous Franz Sanchez in License to Kill and the hilarious Agent Johnson in Die Hard. He may only appear for around two minutes in EX3, but it was a welcome appearance by an under-appreciated actor, and we hope that Stallone will find more room for classic supporting actors like this in future Expendables films.
