The Expendables 3 Review: 10 Things That Sucked

1. The Sly vs. Mel Showdown Sucks

Though Mel Gibson does a splendid job as the villainous Conrad Stonebanks, not even his entertaining mugging can compensate for a weak final stand-off against Barney Ross, put to considerable shame by the previous movie's Van Damme-Stallone showdown. The end result is a generic fist-fight that lasts less than a minute, before Barney dives for his gun and shoots Stonebanks dead. Given how much Stonebanks was hyped up as the Expendables' most dangerous enemy yet, and considering how brilliant Gibson was in the role, to see him dispatched in such a lame way was tremendously unsatisfying. What are your expectations for EX3? Or were you naughty enough to watch the screener? Let us know in the comments!
