The Flash: 10 Reasons It's Awful

9. Not Enough Supergirl

The Flash Ezra Miller
Warner Bros. Pictures

Despite her heavy presence in the marketing, Sasha Calle's Supergirl is heavily under-used throughout the movie. Her total screen time amounts to around half an hour (if that), which is an enormous shame.

After all, this was the character's first shot at the big screen in decades. Sasha Calle actually does really well in the part and brings a lot of gravitas, charisma and pathos to the character. Even though (much like Superman himself) Supergirl is very overpowered, she is genuinely compelling in Calle's hands.

Frankly, Supergirl is so under-utilized that it's a mystery why the film even bothered to include her in the first place. And she's not the only character who feels forced in either...
