The Flash: 10 Ways Ben Affleck's Batman Could Be Written Out Of The DCEU

Batman is definitely the sort of hero to go down fighting, and after spending decades trying to turn the tide on Gotham City's criminals (a mission he clearly wasn't getting anywhere with in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice), it's not hard to imagine him being at the end of his tether here.

That makes a heroic sacrifice all the more likely in The Flash, especially if his actions are going to lead to the creation of a better world. At this point, Batman is probably tired of his crusade, and if ending his life means Gotham City can live on - with the Flash and possibly Michael Keaton's Batman protecting it - then it wouldn't be overly surprising for him to be willing to give his life for the DC Extended Universe.

How could this sacrifice take place? Well, perhaps Bruce will help Barry create the technology which allows him to travel back in time/through the Multiverse, but in order to keep that open and help the Scarlet Speedster finish his mission, he'll wind up being absorbed or obliterated by the Speed Force!
