The Flash: 24 WTF Moments

21. The AWFUL Chronobowl CGI

The Flash Ezra Miller
Warner Bros.

When Barry discovers that he can travel through time by exceeding the speed of light, he ends up at the "Chronobowl" - a hub-like realm from which he can propel himself backwards and forwards through time.

It's an interesting enough idea, except that every time we visit the Chronobowl throughout the movie, it's absolutely hideous.

For reasons that only director Andy Muschietti will ever be able to explain, every human being we catch glimpses of in the Chronobowl has a garishly plastic-like CGI aesthetic to them that's a massive eyesore.

We catch waxy visages of many DCEU events both past and present, from Henry Cavill's Superman in Justice League to the death of Barry's mother Nora (Maribel VerdĂș), and all of it looks utterly ghastly.
