Like The Lion King, there are a number of similarities between The Good Dinosaur and The Jungle Book. Obviously in general terms you have the story of a child becoming friends with different species entirely and finding himself, but there are more specific references. First off both Arlo and Mowgli are washed away from their families by rivers; Forrest Woodbush has a caguely King Louie like fascination with what he deems magical; and of course the endings of both films see the revelation that humans are probably better off growing up around their own kind.
