14. The Great Pizza Planet Truck Mystery
The question of how Pixar were going to add in the super modern references was always going to be a big one - as it was for brave. But you can rest assured that Pixar dropped in the A113, Pizza Planet truck and Luxo ball... it's just they're so well hidden that they're going to take a while to actually find. The only one that MIGHT have been found is the Pizza Planet truck, which was promised to be incorporated into the landscape, and appears to be in these rocks in the background of the hilarious (and Tribble-like) whack-a-mole sequence. Visual Effects Producer Denise Ream stated prior to release that there's at least one new Finding Dory Egg (likely to be turned up only when Dory comes out), and a nod to Pete Sohn. Plus a complex reference to Berkeley University:
"I drove Sanjay Bakshi crazy like weve gotta get this in there. Cause I have it in Cars 2. Its the Campanile at U.C., I went to U.C. Berkeley. And so it was trickier to get it in this one, but I have something. Its not the Campanile."
