The House Review: 4 Ups & 5 Downs

3. All The Stella Artois Product Placement

The House Stella Artois
Warner Bros.

If you leave this movie desperately craving an ice cool bottle of Stella Artois, there's a damn good reason why: The House is absolutely rife with product placement for it.

There's a lengthy sequence in the middle section of the film where the bottles appear prominently in almost every shot, the logos perfectly turned towards the camera for maximum exposure, and it's both hilarious and infuriatingly distracting.

There are other evident paid placements in the movie, such as a bag of Kettle Chips strategically leaned against a background wall during a lengthy shot, and Budweiser bottles also show up in a few scenes, but none is as ludicrously over-the-top as the placement Stella clearly paid top dollar for.
