The Hunger Games: 10 Massive Spoilers For The Final Two Movies

4. Katniss Turns Her Back On The Rebellion

Following the vote in favour of a final, brutal Hunger Games, Katniss is unsure as to whether Coin's leadership is going to bring any real change to Panem. She is confused and scarred by the way in which the war came to an end and is still deeply distrustful of Coin, who considered making a martyr out of her on several occasions during the later stages of the conflict. A baying mob gathers to witness the execution of President Snow. As per Katniss' initial bargain with Coin regarding the "Mockingjay" symbol, it is her who gets the opportunity to finish off Snow and bring an end to his reign of terror. However, driven by confusion and a lack of trust, Katniss turns her bow on Coin and shoots her dead. The moment is one of a series of chaotic developments in Katniss' character in the later stages of the Mockingjay story. Jennifer Lawrence has really matured as a performer and this will allow her to really spread her wings and embrace the complexity of the role that kick-started her career.
