We've already had two live-action versions of the Joker this century - three if you include the sort-of-Joker on Gotham - but now it's time for yet another take, with Warner Bros bringing us an origin story for the Clown Prince of Crime.
The movie has been fast-tracked through development, and while it only feels like yesterday that Joaquin Phoenix's casting was confirmed - after months of him denying his involvement - we now have our first look at him in character. Or first looks, rather, as the official reveal from director Todd Phillips has been followed up by some set leaks, fully showcasing just what Phoenix's Arthur Fleck is going to look like when the standalone movie rolls around this time next year.
It's certainly an interesting, very different appearance for the character (which it has to be after Ledger and Leto), that will delight as many fans as it displeases. And if we're to have a reaction to the Joker reveal, we'd prefer it to be multiple choice, so here are our clown princes giving their takes on Joaquin Phoenix's look.
