The Lego Batman Movie: 10 Reasons It's Better Than Snyder's Batman
9. The Plot & Editing Actually Make Sense
Alright, The Lego Batman Movie is aimed primarily at kids, so it's fair to say that the plot has a rather simple through-line, but it's also a lot more coherent and confident in its vision than Batman v Superman.
Snyder took a guy who dresses up as a bat fighting another guy called Superman, something that's inherently quite silly, and over-complicated things to the point that the theatrical release of BvS in particular was borderline incomprehensible at times, unaided by some scissor-happy Warner Bros. executives.
All the needless subplots and abundance of choppy editing also made the movie a lot less appealing to younger viewers.
Batman's story here is about 45 minutes shorter than BvS (or 75 minutes shorter than the Ultimate Edition), free of bloated dream sequences and rather ironically ends up being a much more sensible proposition than the live-action equivalent.
BvS left many fans scratching their heads. This movie won't have you twisting your brain into knots trying to figure out the questionable logic because scenes were removed by studio stuffed shirts.
