2. The Songs Aren't Memorable

The Lego Movie had two incredibly memorable songs, most specifically "Everything is Awesome!" and Batman's hilarious "Darkness, No Parents" that quickly wormed their way into the ears and minds of millions.

The Lego Batman Movie follows that lead and features a number of original songs, but not one of them is remotely as funny or memorable as the ones from its predecessor.

Only the end credits song "Friends Are Family" really gets anywhere close, while the rest of them leave the mind pretty fast. Honestly, the most memorable piece of music is an amusing cover of Michael Jackson's "Man in the Mirror", which is something of a recurring joke throughout the movie.
