The Lord Of The Rings: Every Fellowship Of The Ring Member Ranked From Least To Most Powerful
2. Aragorn
Early in their journey, the Hobbits come across a mysterious stranger by the name of Strider. We soon learn that "Strider" is actually Aragorn, the heir of Gondor, and a damn good swordsman.
Aragorn never backs down from a fight, at one point taking on hundreds of Orcs on his own. He slices through them without breaking a sweat, even before reclaiming the full blade of Narsil. He's also a great shot with a bow, holding many an Orc back with his arrows.
In addition to his combat skills, Aragorn can inspire others to fight for him. With his passionate speeches, he's roused living and dead soldiers to arms to fight by his side, making everyone around him even more powerful. He is so brave that when he uses the Palantir, he manages to make the Eye of Sauron blink.
While Aragorn is at the heart of every battle of which he's a part, his greatest moment comes at the Battle of The Black Gate. In a moment that should be full of despair, when his army is outnumbered hundreds to one, he nevertheless intimidates Sauron so much that Sauron turns his attention away from Mt. Doom.
Aragorn is the one mortal that Sauron fears, and for good reason.
