The Lord Of The Rings: Every Fellowship Of The Ring Member Ranked From Least To Most Powerful
1. Gandalf
General rule of thumb: When a member of your team is an immortal wizard, that's probably your most powerful teammate.
As a Maia, the Middle Earth equivalent of an angel, Gandalf has powers that the rest of the Fellowship can't even dream of. He showcases his magical abilities in two duels against Saruman, once in person and once as he casts him out of Theoden.
Gandalf's greatest moment happens in Moria. As they pass through the mines, the Fellowship awaken a Balrog of Morgoth, basically the Middle Earth version of a demon. Balrogs are Maiar that Morgoth corrupted, making them powerful enough to kill even the great Elf FĂ«anor.
When the Fellowship find the Balrog, Gandalf is actually able to hold if off. With his famous "you shall not pass" line, he keeps the creature at bay, allowing for the Fellowship to escape and knocking the Balrog backs into the depths. Though the Balrog brings Gandalf down with him, Gandalf still overpowers the beast and is resurrected as the even more powerful Gandalf the White.
The Fellowship of the Ring is a powerful party, and Gandalf contributes more raw power than any other member.
