2. An Uneasy Alliance

The main thing to come out of this trailer, really, is the focus on the relationship between the American Napoleon Solo and Russian Illya Kuryakin. Along with the obvious political tensions brought on by the warring nations they represent, there's also that past of, erm, trying to kill each other which makes their teaming up an uneasy alliance. It's a fun spin on the usual buddy tradition, a carry over from the TV show that still works in the present day, and serves to show off Cavill and Hammer's comedic chops as much as their capacity for drama and ace action sequences. If they pull it off without leaning into cliches, it could be a cinematic pairing for the ages.
