With the astounding level of fight choreography and stunt work required for filming, it's no surprise that many actors suffered injuries. When Carrie-Anne Moss twisted her ankle during the lobby shootout scene, she didn't tell anyone, afraid she would be fired.

Hugo Weaving suffered an injury to his leg on the first day of filming. When the doctor discovered a polyp on his thigh, the filmmakers considered recasting the role. Even after he had the growth removed, Weaving hit another snag when he injured his hip and required more surgery. The directors had to adjust his fight scenes so they were the last thing shot to give Weaving as much time to heal as possible.

Reeves' stunt double, Chad Stahelski, suffered the worst of it all as he received a dislocated shoulder, damaged knees, and several broken ribs during filming.
