The Outsider Review: 3 Ups & 7 Downs

4. It's Overlong & Poorly Paced

In addition to being boring and generic, The Outsider also clocks in at two hours in length, making a potentially inoffensive, snappy thriller into a painfully elongated, almost torturous experience at times.

Pretty much every scene in this film drags on longer than it needs to, especially as it's a rather dialogue-sparse outing for the most part, and by the time the third act arrives, you'll probably just be begging for it to be over.

Clearly, the film could've ran a good 20 minutes shorter and been decidedly more tolerable as a result. As it stands, it'll eat up more time of your life than you should reasonably be able to spare.
