26. Guardians Of The Galaxy Vol. 2 - Self-Indulgence
Alongside Iron Man 3, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 is one of the MCU's most underrated films. Despite broadly positive reviews, it has unfairly been accused of being a disappointment by some fans. In fairness though, as hilarious, thrilling and moving as the film overall is, and despite the brilliance of its cast and visuals, one can see why some didn't connect with Guardians 2. It is a bit on the self-indulgent side.
It's too long, overstuffed with cameos and, as great as the film's comedy is, it can go on a bit. There were definitely some moments where James Gunn should've reined things in a bit, especially in regards to the credits scenes - five credits scenes was way too much.
Still, it remains one of the MCU's finest sequels nonetheless, and that opening sequence deserves to be remembered as one of the best opening scenes EVER.
