The Single Biggest Mistake Each MCU Film And TV Show Has Made

22. Avengers: Infinity War - Underserving Certain Characters

Avengers Endgame Thor

A thrilling, uproarious, hilarious, endlessly gripping and, ultimately, devastatingly emotional blockbuster classic, Infinity War is one of the best superhero films ever made, and even the thought of that ending is still enough to give one the chills. The film is also notable for the strength of its editing and for just how well this movie combines many different plot strands and characters together. But still, having said that, it doesn't quite manage to do justice to all of the characters.

Despite being two of the most important figures in the whole series, Captain America and Black Widow are underused, and even though a big part of the film's action happens in Wakanda, the Wakandans feel oddly side-lined too. Additionally, the way Thor: Ragnarok fan-favourites Korg (Taika Waititi) and Valkyrie (Tessa Thompson) didn't even appear in the opening scene was pretty odd, though thankfully they came back in Endgame.

Perhaps the most screwed-over character was Bruce Banner. He spends far too much time in human form and is an irritating comic relief for the whole thing; it's like the writers forgot that he wasn't in Thor: Ragnarok anymore. Mark Ruffalo turns in his worst performance as the character as well.
