The Single Biggest Mistake Each MCU Film And TV Show Has Made

5. She-Hulk - The Ghastly Writing

Ah, how the mighty have fallen. The MCU has gone from "You... should have gone... for the head" *Snap* to... this.

A much-loathed Disney+ series, She-Hulk: Attorney at Law is an abominable misfire where, somehow, the writing is even more hideous than its widely mocked special effects.

Much like What If... ?, the other rock-bottom Disney+ MCU show, She-Hulk was full of potential and represented an interesting divergence from MCU formula. A half-hour comedy series about a superhero attorney could've been so freaking good, and it's maddening that the writers failed to realize the concept's boundless potential. With the show's terrible humour and painfully mundane legal cases, this writing team shot themselves in the foot at every turn.

Additionally, the jarring fourth-wall breaks, ill-structured episodes, flat characterisation and generally jarring dialogue, make one wonder why in the name of heaven this clearly incompetent group of writers were hired for this, and that was the latest credibility-destroying blow for Marvel Studios.

Also, giving away spoilers for The Sopranos, one of the greatest TV shows ever made, was just plain wrong.

She-Hulk is arguably slightly better than What If... ?, as it's not quite as insulting (at least it isn't assassinating all of our favourite characters), the cast do their best and there is the odd funny moment here and there, but it's probably the worst MCU project aside from that show, and it seems likely that the MCU is going to be mocked for this one for years to come.
