The Single Biggest Mistake Each MCU Film And TV Show Has Made

4. Thor: Love And Thunder - The Terrible Comedy

Though arguably a slight improvement over Multiverse of Madness, the MCU's other 2022 cinematic failure, Love and Thunder is still pretty darn bad overall. So, what made this one of the MCU's most disappointing and disliked films?

Well, Love and Thunder is essentially a cautionary tale of how comedy can kill a movie dead. It doesn't help that the humour is totally lame for the most part - those bloody screaming goats feel like some godawful gag from a Friedberg and Seltzer spoof that somehow ended up in a superhero movie - but what's worse is that the film lacks a semblance of narrative heft as a result.

Goofy jokes are all this movie seems to be interested in and everything else is neglected. The plot is a mess, Thor himself is nothing more than a jokey buffoon, many scene-stealers from previous films are either wasted or downright ruined, and not even a storyline involving Dr. Jane Foster's (Natalie Portman) cancer battle carries the slightest bit of weight.

In other words, this movie is nothing more than a silly joke, and it's definitely one of the very worst MCU films to date.
