The Single Biggest Mistake Each Star Wars Movie Has Made

5. The Empire Strikes Back - The Confusing Timeline

The Empire Strikes Back is also one of the finest blockbusters ever made and another film that's hard to criticise. The screenplay, visuals and story are all absolutely top-notch and not only is this darker and more emotionally involving than the original, but it's also very funny and truly joyous to watch, making it a perfectly-formed adventure with something for everyone.

Like A New Hope, this movie makes very few mistakes; the only issue in particular is the confusing timeline.

Luke is evidently on Dagobah for several weeks while Han Solo and co are having their escapades on the Millennium Falcon and on Bespin for what is clearly a much shorter time than that, yet the film implies the two events are happening simultaneously.

This has always been very confusing and while the likely explanation is a different time-zone or something like that (as in, time moves slower on Dagobah due to its placement in the galaxy), the film should've offered a concrete explanation.

Still, aside from that and Luke and Leia kissing in a thoroughly creepy manner, this movie is pretty much perfection on a plate.
