15. Avengers: Age Of Ultron - The Ever-Reliable Ensemble Cast

Avengers: Age of Ultron was incredibly disappointing. It's a fun-enough watch and it's as well-made as ever, but the whole thing is overlong, insultingly safe and ultra-forgettable, which feels wrong considering the great film it was following.

Still, there's one undeniable positive and that's that the cast are as good as you'd expect. Even when some of the actors are weighed down by dreadful plot-lines like Black Widow and Hulk's romance or Thor taking a dip in a weird pool for no clear reason, the Avengers actors all deliver the goods and are just as excellent as ever.

As well as this, Aaron Taylor-Johnson is a memorable Quicksilver, Jeremy Renner handles his expanded role very well, Andy Serkis has an excellent cameo and James Spader's strong performance elevates Ultron, an otherwise forgettable villain, considerably.

None of the main cast do their best work here, since the film's script doesn't give them a chance to do anything that interesting, but they still pack a considerable punch nonetheless.
