The Single Greatest Thing In Each MCU Movie

12. Doctor Strange - The Trippy Visuals

Doctor Strange is an enjoyable superhero film with the strong acting and production values you can always expect from the MCU, so it's not a bad film at all, but it's still one of the lower-tier films in the series. It's plagued by a predictable plot, a terrible love story, a dreadful villain and, worst of all, an overly unlikeable protagonist.

The criticism of flat visuals isn't necessarily justified for that many of the MCU movies, but The Avengers (2012), Thor: The Dark World and both the Ant-Man and Spider-Man films definitely had this problem. Additionally, few of the franchise's films are all that striking on a cinematography level.

This is why Doctor Strange's creative and wonderfully trippy visuals were such a breath of fresh air. Doctor Strange is absolutely beautiful to look at and all of its set-pieces are considerably enhanced by this, while the film's unique look really helps it stand out from other entries in this over-saturated genre.

It's not one of the best MCU films at all, but Doctor Strange is definitely one of the most visually stunning films in the series.
