The Single Greatest Thing In Each MCU Movie

23. Iron Man 2 - Robert Downey Jr's Performance

The first big slip-up for the MCU, Iron Man 2 is a bitterly disappointing sequel that doesn't have an awful lot going for it.

The script is flat, the dramatic beats don't work, Mickey Rourke is wasted, most of the cast make little impact and despite being a superhero film, this literally only has two action sequences in the whole thing - and forgettable ones at that.

Still, Robert Downey Jr. - who has since expressed dissatisfaction with Iron Man 2 - is as dependable as he always is and he turns in another commanding performance as Iron Man. By far and away, he's the greatest thing in this terrible movie.

It's far from his best turn in the part, but with such a weak script that's hardly surprising.
