6. Michael Rooker
Michael Rooker gives a mind blowing performance in The Suicide Squad - Pun intended.
Rooker plays Savant, who, according to anyone who left the theater after the first ten minutes, is the film's lead. Savant acts as the audience's' eyes and ears during the first Suicide Squad's mission, and reminds us that if the squad disobeys Amanda Waller, she can simply blow up their heads. When Savant sees the rest of his team get butchered, he tries to run away, resulting in Waller blowing him up.
This isn't the first time James Gunn has killed off frequent collaborator Michael Rooker in an comic book film. Rooker appears as Yondu Udonta in Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 1 and Vol 2. While Yondu is a fun supporting role in the first film, he steals the show in its sequel, acting as the heart and soul of the movie. Unfortunately, Yondu sacrifices himself to save Quill at the end of Vol. 2, but Rooker recently gave one final performance as Yondu in an episode of What if...?
Marvel or DC: Yondu is one of the best characters in the Guardians of the Galaxy films, so Marvel takes the cake on this one.
