The Suicide Squad: Every Character Explained

Just like David Dastmalchian, martial artist and actress Mayling Ng is no stranger to the world of DC comic book movies, having portrayed Orana in Wonder Woman in 2017. For The Suicide Squad, Ng will be swapping playing an Amazon for playing an alien.

Mongal, along with her twin brother Mongul, came to Earth from the planet Almerac, and gave Superman an incredibly tough and bloody fight. After becoming Queen of her land, Mongal was ultimately killed by her brother in 2006, 11 years after her comic debut.

With no previous affiliation with the Suicide Squad, it will be incredibly interesting to see what James Gunn has in store for the alien, why he chose to give her her debut with the team, and why she is on planet Earth in the first place. In a world with humanoid sharks, anthropomorphic weasels, and magical polka dots, the alien will still rank as one of the strangest members of the team.

There is currently no reason to believe that Mongal's brother will be showing his face in The Suicide Squad, but that certainly doesn't mean that she is immune from being killed off. She may be an alien, but immortal she is not.
